AMYBO Event London – Friday 13 November 2026

Join us for a day of lab tours, talks and discussion about open source bioreactors and sustainable protein at Imperial’s new labs in White City, and their local pub. It’s free (buy your own meals, etc.), and if you can’t get to London the talks and some discussion will be live via Google Meet.

Friday 13 November 2026. Arrive any time from 10:30 to 12:00. It’s a Friday, so visitors to London can stay on for the weekend.

Each tour lasts 45 minutes and has 10 places, so book your space now. Closed shoes are needed in the labs.

Attendance is free, so unless a sponsor comes forward, please buy or bring your own meals:

  • Snacks and soft drinks: provided through the day. Soft drinks sponsored by LabCrafter.
  • Lunch: The Works, on the ground floor of the Sir Michael Uren Hub on campus, serves hot food with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.
  • Dinner: tick “Dinner” when you register, and we will try to book a private space at The Broadcaster, 89 Wood Lane, opposite Wood Lane station - ~£45 a head, paid on the night, but be aware that we will need to pay a £250 deposit, so please let us know ASAP if you can’t make it. Friends can register for just the dinner.
  • Fallback: Westfield London, next to the campus, has plenty of places to eat, but we may struggle to get a large table.

  • Tube: Wood Lane station (Hammersmith & City and Circle lines) is a few minutes’ walk away, and White City station (Central line) is also close.
  • Room: 516, at 84 Wood Lane.
